Vanuatu To Join The World’s Optical Fibre Internet Backbone

As part of the Government Vanuatu’s commitment to encourage the development of e-business and IT infra- structure, the Vanuatu Government has thrown it’s full support behind the current Joint Venture project between Interchange Limited, a Vanuatu local IT company and Alcatel-Lucent, the giant French telecommunications company to deploy Vanuatu’s first international submarine cable system linking Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu, to Suva, Fiji.

Business Names

 

 

You may register a business name to trade under regardless of whether you are carrying on business as a local company or as a sole trader.

This allows you to trade under different names under 1 Business license. For example you may have a refrigeration business offering sales, parts and services. You may wish to trade the sales of units and parts under one business name and services under another. This way you have 2 separate business entities owned under one company and working under 1 Business License.

This can be handy when you may wish to sell or a potential purchaser may only be interested in purchasing the the sales and parts department and you keep the service side.

Business names can be registered to resident individuals or to a local company.

Registrations are valid to 30th September of the prevailing year and renewed annually on or before this date.
