Vanuatu To Join The World’s Optical Fibre Internet Backbone

As part of the Government Vanuatu’s commitment to encourage the development of e-business and IT infra- structure, the Vanuatu Government has thrown it’s full support behind the current Joint Venture project between Interchange Limited, a Vanuatu local IT company and Alcatel-Lucent, the giant French telecommunications company to deploy Vanuatu’s first international submarine cable system linking Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu, to Suva, Fiji.

GSI stands for "Gaming Services International" and GSI Limited has been involved in the Gaming industry since 1995 both in Vanuatu and elsewhere.

GSI's Vanuatu operation consists of the Management of a Concession in Luganville, Santo, Vanuatu for Club de Sanma Limited. Club de Sanma is a members-only Club with 400 members and membership reciprocal rights with Club Vanuatu, Port Vila Golf & Country Club and Santo Golf Club. Visiting tourists and travellers from outer islands are welcome visitors on a sign-in basis.

Situated in the heart of Santo, the Club is a popular place for locals to gather. With facilities and equipment for a cafe and bar, the Club presently has approximately 60 Aristocrat and IGT Poker Machines in commission, with about 25 in Storage for spare parts etc.

Current daily revenue is  V T150,000 to VT200,000 from the machines.

The Concession gives GSI the right to operate the Club as it's own in return for 12.5% of revenue to the Club members payable monthly.

T his Club has an exclusive Gaming License for Luganville and purchased its own Clubhouse in 2004. It has two Bars and facilities for a Cafe/Takeaway. New machines will be installed in June 2005.

The  Concession and business (including vehicle and all Gaming Equipment)  is for sale on a walk-in-walk-out basis for US$ 7 00,000 and would suit an owner operator with good returns expected. It is currently operated by a Manager with a large lacal staff - overheads could be trimmed considerably for an Owner/Operator.

The current concession is for  twenty years.

The concession fee to the Club is utilized to  repay the Building Loan.
